Back by popular demand, the 2024 Wounded Veterans Polo Benefit will be Sunday, August 18th!
at the beautiful Wine Country Polo Club, Oakmont, Santa Rosa, CA
A look back at the 2023 event ...
In a spectacular Opening Ceremony, a mounted Color Guard took the field for presentation of the Colors, and posted after the National Anthem.
Leading Californian and international polo players played two spectacular polo games while Premier Ticket Holders enjoyed a gourmet buffet lunch on the tree-covered bank overlooking the polo field.
Fine wines were served and others available for tasting, courtesy of several leading North Bay wineries.
Intermission features the traditional “Chandon Divot Stomp” -- spectators mingled on the field, sampling Chandon sparkling wine while performing light duty in smoothing the divots kicked up by the horses.
The internationally acclaimed Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls returned this year to perform acrobatic stunts on and off horseback as well as providing a trick roping display. These young women have performed for Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle as part of her Jubilee Pageant.
A silent auction was available throughout the day for spectators to bid. All proceeds of course support our veterans.
The event concluded traditionally and memorably with the awards.

The hats are created and sold from a charming retail workshop located at 506 San Anselmo Avenue, across the street from Town Hall, in downtown San Anselmo. Laurie Berliner is the milliner and Madge is her Cardigan Welsh corgi companion. The hats are designed and crafted exclusively from the shop and are not sold online. Laurie also works collaboratively with Bay Area bridal designer Suzanne Hanley of Atelier des Modistes. Her hats are best discovered in the shop and on instagram.com/madgeandmehats.

12:15 pm: Gourmet Lunch Served -- Start of Second Polo Game
1:30 pm: Prize Awards & Closing Ceremonies, Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls, Boot Appeal
