The Wounded Veterans Polo Benefit is a private initiative to raise funds for rehabilitation programs for injured veterans in the Bay Area. The event is organized by the Commandery of St. Francis, the local unit of the Priory of the Pacific, Order of Saint John, Knights Hospitaller, an all volunteer non-profit (501c3# 26-2543649).

 

We are an organization that believes strongly in supporting our veterans in need. Many of us are veterans ourselves, who believe in helping those who have given so much to our country and have asked for nothing in return. We have no paid staff or directors and very little administrative overhead. This ensures that all event profits and all funds received as donations are passed through 100% to the carefully selected veterans’ rehabilitation programs.  READ this letter from Project Healing Waters about Healing our Heroes.

• The Overwatch Collective Financial assistance for mental health care, connection of veterans and first responders to specialized therapists.

• E5 Therapy Specialized mental health services to military members and first responders emotionally traumatized by service.

• Share the Care — Napa Valley At-cost or free durable medical supplies & equipment for older and disabled veterans.

• Spirit Horse Equine Assisted Services Equine-assisted therapy to help veterans address PTSD, anxiety, and physical injuries.

• VetsBoats Healing through mindfulness-based sailing and restoration of wooden boats, helping rehabilitate veterans through camaraderie and teamwork
